Freya Purdue
When I paint on paper I mainly use acrylic gouache because of its versatility. I use this medium because I like to build up layers of colour gradually as a way to allow new possible motifs and colour combinations to arise. I think of them as proposals and occasionally use elements of them in my studio work. Sometimes they end up as finished pieces of which these two images are examples.
